Spatial Compound Table

A spot x compound table (metabolite or lipid names) with coordinates and regions: name mapping, tissue maps, pseudobulk comparison of regions, compound sets and enrichment.

Annotations
MALDI-MSI, annotated Coronal mouse brain section from the SMA study (Vicari et al., Nat Biotechnol 2024; V11L12-038 A1, MALDI-FTICR, DHB, positive, 100 µm): 3,105 tissue pixels x 80 metabolites and lipids annotated on METASPACE (CoreMetabolome v3, FDR ≤ 20%). Anatomical regions from the Visium layer of the same section; the annotation file lists ion, formula, adduct, FDR and all candidate names.

Spatial metadata
Synthetic A 40 x 30 lattice (1,200 spots x 60 lipid-named features) with three regions: five spatial gradients, five features confined to the central disc, and noise features, for a quick test of the workflow.
